Again, as before, I didn't retain much of the history and background, and what I was left with was the memories of the vast differences between men and women's rights (inequality in the Muslim religion), amazing music, great poetry and some photos to share with you all.
Men are the only ones allowed to be inside the tomb's enclosure ::
I was entranced by the music, which I can't begin to accurately portray to you with my words. These photos do not do the beauty of it justice. I could have sat there for hours, just listening and observing.

This woman was physically removed from her spot "too close" to the tomb's entrance and was also told she could not sit on the mats where the rest of us "foreigners" were sitting. The look on her face as she stared at me was haunting.
Same with this woman - who at first seemed to be as much a part of the tomb's enclosure as the pillars surrounding it.
I actually have more photos to share from this tour site. I will save them for another day. Nizamuddin so far has been my favorite spot to visit on the Seven Cities tour!
