Qutb Minar - the Tour

Our family has seen Qutub Minar several times.  We've loved it ... and it's one of our favorites.

The first city in the lineup for our Seven Cities tour was Qutub Minar ... and it was a vast difference than from our earlier visits!

The visuals of this site - as seen by me - is located here ::

The group

The visual of a television shoot for a local series ...

the name of which I can't find now (although we talked to the "bouncers" about the details)

The amazing pillars.

I'd love to know what these actually are.
I'd guess that they are just rubble from the building and construction of the site?

It's the coolest thing ever to stand at the base of Qutub Minar and look UP.
THE coolest.

Check out the greenery growing right in the middle of the bricks!

This blows my mind away.  The intricate carvings
and script is absolutely breathtaking and amazing

I can just imagine sitting inside this little alcove with a book and a glass of wine.

The above two photos are of the home of Jamily Kamily.
Love that pen name for a famous Indian poet!

I stand by my earlier post about not being too hip on retaining the deep history of this city, but it is definitely going to be wonderful to get out and explore this city ... and all "seven" of its' parts!
