55th Filmfare Awards - Gowns Galore

Who: Kangana Ranuat

What a dreamy concoction!! I just adore the gown - the cut, color and silver embellishments. Not sure what she is trying to do with her hair - Medusa look?? I wish she had put more effort in her hair and makeup. And smile, Kangana, smile:-)

Who: Lara Dutta with Mahesh Bhupathi

You either loved it or hated it. I loved it from the get go, the whole bohemian look that Lara does so well. How beautiful is the print and swirls of colors of this dress?? She wisely chose to keep her makeup unfussy. Lara's fresh look hit just the right note for the occasion.

On a gossipy note, is she seeing Mahesh or was he just a date for the evening??

Who: Minissha Lamba

Mugdha, watch out, you have competition!! Minissha is trying to wrestle the worst-dressed award from you!! Sigh, how could she even choose this thing?? The outfit looks like two in one - sari and dress. The hot pink color and the flowers at the waist give it a very gaudy/cheap effect. And if that wasn't enough she combined gold clutch with silver jewelery!!

Who: Giselle Monterio

Giselle wore an asymmetrical dress in a classic mermaid shape. The color, eye-popping blue, is little bright for me and the ruffle definitely has to go. It overwhelms her frame. I would have preferred a knee length dress in this color or this dress but in a deeper shade of blue. Since the dress is so bright, silver earring without the ruby would have looked classier.

Who: Bipasha Basu

Bipasha goes for an old-school glamorous look here. Nicely fitted dress that accentuates her figure. The top half of the dress looks too busy, though. What do you guys think?

55th Filmfare Awards - The battle of the minis

Who: Sonia Mehra

Rather than just going for a simple solid cocktail dress or making a safe choice, Sonia picks something interesting with strappy shoes. Very rarely, do I get to see western outfits that have the traditional embroidery. And the light color palette makes her ensemble a superb choice for Mumbai nights.Her hair is also done up to go with the sophisticated look of the dress. Two thumbs up!!

Who: Genelia D'souza

A bubble hemline, poof on the bottom, can either look cute and hip or totally unfashionable, depending on how you wear it. I think its quite difficult for anyone to wear a bubble dress and look appropriate..So is she fab or drab? I will go with drab since I didn't like anything about this look - the black camisole, the shirred top, the tacky pink buckle on the shoe. Two thumbs down!!

55th Filmfare Awards Pre-Party

Who: Shruti Hassan

Sequins are an attention-seeking material. With something as fleshy as sequins, its important to keep it causal so as to not look like a drag queen. I am not a top-to-toe sequins girl but prefer to wear just one piece to add glamor to an outfit. Shruti gets it right by wearing her graphic sequins t-shirt over slim jeams - a very rock and roll look.. The shoes are dead-on, not sure about the black necklaces.

Even though she looks cute, is jeans ok for red-carpet? what do you guys think?

Who: Sridevi

After a couple of good looks on the red-carpet, Sridevi takes a stumble here. What really surprises me is that Sridevi, being a such a red-carpet veteran, forgot that the flash-bulbs will pick up her nude undergarment...On someone her age, it looks very trashy..

Who: Dia Mirza

I have looked at this pic for a loooong time and am going to say it straight out that the dress does not do anything for me. It somehow looks as if Dia forgot to ear her pants/salvaar and it simply doesn't work as a dress. The color is okay but shoes are too chunky for this look. Did she cut her hair short a la Padukone??

Who: Genelia D'souza

What happened, chica? you got into a fight with Amrita Rao as you both wore similar outfits to Shahid's birthday party and she looked better??

This dress really showcases her rocking figure, toned golden legs and delicate collar bones:-) Genelia tends to have more bad days than good days on the red-carpet. Today is her good day - the outfit is little edgy but she is young and can carry it off..The shoes are a nay- some fierce gladiator shoes in black would have looked better..

Who: Asin

How gorgeous is her hair, makeup, shoes and ooooh, totally, totally dig the lipstick shade...Don't even bother with the dress -- admire her glowing face and scroll down to the next picture..

Who: Shazahn

I like the colors of this dress but not the ruffles. Overall, she looks cute..What do you guys think? hit or a miss??

Dreamboat, sigh!! And I don't care he is wearing brown shoes with black suit..Lets show some love, girls:-)
