We've been to the Crafts Museum before (off of Pragati Maidan) near the Old Fort, and it's one of the kids' favorite places to visit.
Recently we headed there with other friends and kiddos on a sweltering humid day.
The Crafts Museum is filled and jam packed with handicrafts, tribal art, and some very funky village recreations that allow the kids to truly go back in time.
The kids loved a scavenger hunt and the ability to see, imagine and explore.
What made it even better was a surprise performance by these little cuties.
I always forget to investigate and find out more information about what we see and experience here, so I'm sorry that I have no details for you about where these girls are from, what their dancing is called, or even what the instruments are called that the men played to provide their beats and tunes.

(NOTE :: I got an email from a friend who had recently been to the Crafts Museum with one of the Indian Studies teachers from the kids' school. I wanted to share her comment with you .... "I just went a couple of weeks ago. We saw those same performers. Guess what? They are all boys. Weren't they incredible? If I remember correctly, they were from Orissa and there is a long tradition of training them in that type of dance combined with acrobatics.")
What always makes me smile during our adventures is that no matter what amazing thing we are currently experiencing, taking part in or seeing in this crazy country, the littles never fail to just stop for an anthill, or watch a squirrel scurry across a field.
Anthills amongst possibly the largest collection of historical memories and recreations in Delhi. Ah to be a child!
