Shop the Spring trend - Metal accents

Weekend is here - time to spend some/all of our hard earned moolah. I work to shop:-) Today we look at metal accents - a special request from one of my earliest followers, Maitri. In fact, she picked a lot of the outfits today.

Metal details are hot this spring and they add a rock n roll, rebellious attitude to any outfit. Depending upon how you style it, you can either go for a biker or a punk yet chic look. For a biker look, go for metal studs that are large in size, pyramid shaped, pointy/spiky, loads of black eyeliner and it will help ur cause if you ride with the Hells Angel:-) For a punk chic look, go for a classy silhouette with small, round metal studs and wear only one or two pieces of this trend. I usually add some styling tips but fashion is all about fun, trying new combinations and finding something that makes you comfortable..So lets kick some ass!!

Sonia Mehra looked cute in a front ruffle dress (shoes - yay!!, clutch - nay!!). Found two similar dresses - the purple is by Cynthia Vincent can be purchased from here and the white one is from ASOS.

Who: Kareena
Where: Don't Loose your Mind, Loose your weight book promotional event.

Kareena looked casual chic in a plaid shirt, skinny jeans and boots. While Kareena paired the shirt with skinny jeans, you can easily wear it with leggings. The pink shirt is from Express and the right-most is from Shopbob.

Sonam wears one of the hottest trends of Fall 2009 - the military jacket. It first appeared on the runway in Balmain's Spring 09 show. Steal her look with jacket from either Express or NY and company.




You can buy Zarine Khan's shirt from Express Fashion.. Do remember that unless you are Carrie Bradshaw or under 25, your underwear should be kept to yourself and not seen thru your clothes:-)



This is a gorgeous, sexy, grecian dress worn by some celebrity at the Araish Exhibition. I am so buying this one from MaxStudio.com. I dont feel any love for her white shoes and will most probably pair mine with nude peep toes. What shoes do you think will go best?

Steal Bipasha's look with a white multi-tiered dress from Macys or a black one from Saks. Both will look good with red peep-toes..

Katrina Kaif wore a body-hugging Just Cavali gown for the unveiling of Femina 50 most beautiful women. I am sure the cost is just equal to my monthly rent so I found a cheaper one at Bebe. The Bebe dress is a shorter version though - less fabric, less price :-P.

Katrina looks va-va-voom - no wonder she has Salman and Ranbir fighting over her!! I am not that greedy - I will settle for just one, Ranbir:-)


I loved the dress that Farah Ali Khan wore to Ritu Kumar's cocktail but could not find anything in blue. Did find a green one at Nordstrom. If anyone finds a blue version, do email me...Yikes, I did a terrible job cropping the green dress, she looks like Godzilla in comparison !! She is going to catch you, Farah, and force feed you some fat/lard..hehehe!!



Sophie Choudry at the Lions awards, 2010..Get the look with skirt from Macys and top from Express.




Deepika went for a very causal look with shredded jeans and Abercrombie Fitch layered camis while promoting Karthik Calling Karthik. I found two jeans - one (left) from Express and the other (right) from Forever21. The green cami is from Abercrombie Fitch and the yellow one from Old Navy. Btw, doesnt it look as the model wearing Express jeans needs to pee badly? just saying....I think I am going to wear this jeans next time I ask my boss for a raise:-)
