If you have these things inside you, then yes you can proceed with your dream. The profession of Modelling is fun exciting, and also adventurous. But, make sure you maintain realistic expectations as the chances of becoming a successful Indian model are not the same for everyone. Only a few names reach the top like Milind Soman, Arjun Rampal, John Abraham, Madhu Saprey, Bipasha Basu and a few more.

The Measurements -

The ideal measurements for female Indian models are 5'9", 34b x 24" x 34". If you find yourself within one inch of these parameters, then you have crossed half of the journey very well.  The fashion models are generally 5'7" to 6' height. These models are not necessarily beautiful, but one MUST have a well proportioned figure. It is highly important to give the exact measurements to the modeling agency, so you do not have to face a problem like the ‘clothes don't fit’ only as you gave the wrong information. For the male Indian models, the heights should be between 5'11" to 6'2" and the chest size should be between 40” to 42".

Further, send your pictures and resume to reputed modelling co-ordinators. You need to set-up appointments with them. Be punctual as these people are very busy. They will asses you and will tell you the whether you have it in you o not on the spot. If they reject you, do not give up yet. Each modeling agency is different, so always ask for any immediate changes (haircut, dental work, weight loss, skin treatment etc.) to work on it. And some coordinators and even former models offer training for fashion shows and print media. So, you can get trained through them easily.

If you get selected, then understand the further story. The modeling agencies make a commission on the model’s fee (15 to 20%). Be aware of some agencies that ask for money up front! Any reputed agency won’t do this. The coordinator or agency will introduce you with few photographers. It's totally up to you who you choose and pay the fee to the photographer not to the agency/coordinator. When you are given an assignment, keep copies of the papers like contracts. In future, you may need them in case you have a dispute. So, it is really wise to choose only the reputed agency or model coordinator very carefully, it will benefit you for long term career with them. Indian models that constantly change their agencies get a flighty and unprofessional reputation as a result. So refrain from this as much as possible.

Best of luck for your Indian Model Career
