Daily dose of Sonam & gang

Update on Rhea's outfit : As per her tweet 'zara top, zara pants and shoes from ports 1961.oh and dads watch!'

Who: Sonam Kapoor
Where: Promoting Aisha at 98.3FM Radio Mirchi

There is nothing specific awful about this outfit, its just there is too much going on with cropped top, jacket and pink high waisted pants. The bare midriff doesn't quite work for me. A case of trying to hard...

Just got a tweet from Sonam that her whole ensemble is from Topshop..

Who: Ira Dubey
Where: Promoting Aisha at 98.3FM Radio Mirchi

I like the print of this dress. Reminds me of 'Color by Numbers' book u get for the kids - and she has all the colors hanging at her waist, nice!! Not sure why is standing in such an awkward manner. U think Sonam is twisting her arm for wearing a better outfit..LOL, just kidding....

Cute camouflage print paired with black paints and pink shoes..Do you think pink shoes work here or should she have worn black?

Black and white

Who: Perizaad Zorabian
Where: Launch of Teddy diapers

No pretentious fashionista nonsense here by adding some color to the outfit or lugging huge designer bags. Perizaad looks really classy in this lovely black/white flower print dress worn with simple black peep-toes..

Weekend round up

Who: Rekha, Hema Malini, Jaya Bachchan
Where: Gautam Rajadhyaksha's book launch

Golden saree, heavy jewellery - Rekha as usual was dressed up as a bride even for a book launch. Talk about being over dressed:-) Hema and Jaya kept it simple in white outfits. I like the thin silver hemline in Jaya's Abu-Sandeep outfit.

Who: Praveen Dusanj, Haseena Jethmalani, Guest
Where: Royal Rajasthan Charity Dinner Gala

I love the color combination and floral print of Praveen's saree. The print is accentuated with golden embroidery. Cute spiral curls..
Haseena looked very elegant and classy in her white ensemble. Her outfit looks like chikankari work. Totally digging the flower in her hair and her golden clutch.
More than the outfit, the vintage looking clutch of the guest caught my eye. The clutch ties the whole outfit together and gives the guest a very regal bearing.

Events: Brides of Mumbai Exhibition

Who: (L) Sophie Choudry, (R) Sherlyn Chopra

Sophie and Sherlyn wore the same shade of aquamarine to exhibition. Sophie wore a saree with tacky gold border and was totally over the top. Sophie, its an exhibition not an actual marriage, doh!! Sherlyn wore a anarkali style dress and fared much better. I like the top part of her dress - the long, fitted brocade..

Style Diaries

Who: Neha Dhupia
Where: AXN Action awards media meet

Neha wears two of the hottest trends - metal studs and vests. This could have been nice look if not for the necklace. It looks like Neha cut a strand her own hair and wore it around her neck!! Sometimes, its best to keep it simple..

If you like metal accents, we did a "Shop the Spring trend" on metal accents sometime back. Read the post here.

Who: Sophie Choudry
Where: SATC 2 premier

Nice recovery - going from barely covered to fully covered :-) Sophie wore a cute DVF wrap dress to the premier. She accessorized the dress with a cute clutch and peep toes booties.

Who: Shazahn Padamsee
Where: IIFA 2010 red carpet

Pics of lesser known bollywood stars on the IIFA 2010 red carpet have just come out..A pity becoz I think this is the best gown of the evening. Shazahn wore a Swapnil Shinde white gown that has a splattered paint like effect accentuated with dazzling glitter and red beads. The hairstyle and makeup along with the gown give her a very chic and sophisticated look.

Who: Gul Panang
Where: SATC2 premier

Gul decided that if Carrie can do unmatched looks so can she. She wore four pieces - top, short, clothes and bag - all of them in different colors. And if Carrie had a nameplate necklace, Gul is one step ahead, she has her name on the bag...I can hear armies of Manolo clad feet marching to smack Gul with their designer handbags:-)

Who: Guest
Where: SATC2 premier

I totally dig how effortlessly chic this girl is looking, not overdone nor overthought. . I love everything here - the deconstructed shirt, the dainty necklace, the chunky bangles to her bright pink lipcolor..

Feeling blue

Who: Kareena Kapoor
Where: Unveiling of latest Sony Vaio series Laptop

Wow, what gorgeous, impossibly glossy hair!! I want!! and looks like Kareena read our blog since she went easy on her blush. The dress color is also stunning and so is the upper part with silver embroidery. I don't like the draping of this dress and as one reader commented, the length doesn't do much for her legs..

Events: Vera Mode fashion show

Who: Neha Dhupia

This woman really knows how to pick her outfits for the red carpet!! Totally drooling over her LBD with its plunging neckline and the golden cuffs....I wish she had worn better shoes as well as added some bounce to her hair:-)

Who: Lara Dutta

Lara made an appearance in jeans/shirt combo and then walked the ramp in a Vera Mode LBD..I do like her jeans outfit but the shoes are a shade too bright and then wearing a matching red belt spoiled the look for me..The LBD dress is cute, the silver belt makes it more interesting...I like the way she curled her hair in the second pic..Which hairstyle did u guys like?

Who: Sameera Reddy

Cute abstract print on the dress but the colors used are way too loud for me..Thankfully she kept her makeup simple and accessories, minimum..

Who : Amisha Patel

This one should come with a warning: Directly looking at the pics could cause temporary blindness:-) what a fashion disaster!!
