Shilpa wears one of the hottest trends of Spring, 2011 - colorblocking. The outfit colors are loud and pack a punch. Love the exposed zipper trend and the fluid draping of the skirt. The outfit is amazing, pity Shilpa got her accessories wrong..

Mixing prints can be tricky and most of the times comes across as trying too hard. But when done right, its fashion utopia! I love the Sabayasachi outfit that Madhoo is wearing. And with messy, bed hair, Madhoo gives it a very boho-chic vibe.

Were: Ritu Kumar fashion event

Lara looks radiant in a tiered, strapless gown. Does her presence at the show mean she will be wearing Ritu Kumar for her wedding? I am sure Manish Malhotra is throwing a fit somewhere:-)

Never knew Celina wore anything other than sarees! This is quite pretty. I hope its not once in a lifetime thing..

Another colorblocking dress, this time in geometric prints. Gul paired the dress with nude pumps and black clutch, giving the whole ensemble a very pulled together look.

Not sure why Bhagyashree had to hide her lovely features under a shaggy dog haircut! But the dog is rather cute, so I really cant blame her for copying:p

Malaika did the mini + blazer combo pairing a gold BCBG(??) dress with a black blazer and nude Loubs. Two things (i) Having never looked beyond her always-on-display-legs, I didn't realize she is quite pretty (ii) not sure I like black with this shade of gold..Shoes, I will take anyday.

Urmila wore a cute, printed one-shoulder dress to the store opening. Love the dress and the shoes make the orange in the dress pop out. Orange clutch - an overkill..
Looks like her hair stylist had a day off.

Raveena - So many things messed up here. The waistband is too wide of her size, the dress too long and the shoes just plain wrong. BV clutch - always right.

Tisca - Love her Tod's Bauletto satchel and her perfectly polished look.

Gul - Too blinded by her red shoes to look at anything else..

Ooh la la, That is a great look on Mugdha! She is uber-fancy in a cream gown with sheer overlay skirt. The gold embellishment at the neck is a nice touch and I love the way the skirt flows. You like?

Jacqueline - Lets just admire her shoes and move on..I mean, seriously how high has she worn her shorts? The look - Baboon or Buffoon ?

Mandira - Cant think of one nice thing to say:P
Wait a sec, Isnt the hand the symbol of one on the major political party (Congress-I)?? If I were the leader of that party, I would be really worried..

On the Ramp

Malaika and Jacqueline walked the ramp on day 2 for Mandira Wirk.

With va-va-voom legs like that, I really dont think anyone was looking at what Malaika was wearing:-) I bow to her hotness!!

I like the gentle shading on Jacqueline's gown but not the asymmetrical hemline..

Mandira was a showstopper in the true sense. She wore a gown in fire-engine red and looked like a glamorous Greek goddess. I love the ruffled hemline of her gown and the delicate draping of the top adds an element of sweetness to a slit up to there bottom.

Both, Malaika and Mughda, wore silver metallic minis to the show - I think both are wearing Mandira Wirk. I prefer the color of Malaika's dress. Other than that, both dresses have too much going on..

I have been watching too much Animal Planet since Gul's print reminds me of Moth wings and Mandira's dress reminds me of butterfly wings:-) Mandira face/hairstyle is frozen in time and Gul gaze is going to turn all the onlookers into stone...

I liked the whimsical water color print on the guest's dress but wish she had not worn such neon yellow shoes...

Deepika went for a casual look with short kurti and skinny jeans. This is a very typical Deepika attire - she tends to prefer casuals vs a dressed up look. I like the kurti but it doesn't really go with the jeans.. What do you guys think? Yay or Nay?

We have been after Celina to change her hairstyle and this is what we get!! Neck up, she is a hot mess - looks like a drag-queen. She also needs to go one size up for the skirt. I do love the print on the top - reminds me a lot of D&G rose print of this season..I would love to see a dress in that print.

Ok, Isha is not that bad. Her sequins bustier is sexy and I love the contrast between metallic grey and orange silk. Her skirt has a terrible fit and the shoes are a no-no..

Neha wears two of the hottest trends - metal studs and vests. This could have been nice look if not for the necklace. It looks like Neha cut a strand her own hair and wore it around her neck!! Sometimes, its best to keep it simple..

Nice recovery - going from barely covered to fully covered :-) Sophie wore a cute DVF wrap dress to the premier. She accessorized the dress with a cute clutch and peep toes booties.

Pics of lesser known bollywood stars on the IIFA 2010 red carpet have just come out..A pity becoz I think this is the best gown of the evening. Shazahn wore a Swapnil Shinde white gown that has a splattered paint like effect accentuated with dazzling glitter and red beads. The hairstyle and makeup along with the gown give her a very chic and sophisticated look.

Gul decided that if Carrie can do unmatched looks so can she. She wore four pieces - top, short, clothes and bag - all of them in different colors. And if Carrie had a nameplate necklace, Gul is one step ahead, she has her name on the bag...I can hear armies of Manolo clad feet marching to smack Gul with their designer handbags:-)

I totally dig how effortlessly chic this girl is looking, not overdone nor overthought. . I love everything here - the deconstructed shirt, the dainty necklace, the chunky bangles to her bright pink lipcolor..

Fashion Faceoff - Classic Khakis

Khakis are like jeans, they are never out of style. This year they had a major presence on the Spring 2010 runaways of Chloe, Blamain and Celine. Blazers, shirts, skirts, dresses even shoes and bags are sporting the Khaki look and color. I have worn a lot Khaki pants but this year I am looking for the perfect shirt dress.

Color me red

One of the top Spring 2010 color is Tangy Tomato puree as per the Pantone fashion color report. Pantone is a global authority on color - they look at fashion trends, fashion shows, talk to designers, magazine editors etc (you get the picture) and come up with top colors for each season.
