ELECTIVE 19 - CHECK!

Tony was excited to sign up for Cub Scouts again this year, and was bummed when we had to miss the campout because of our trip to the United States.

We brought his Wolf Handbook though in case we were able to work on some Achievements while we were away from the rest of his Den, and thanks to our new friend here in the midwest, we were able to (surprisingly!!) get Elective 19 crossed off of the list!

Live minnows were not readily available, so we settled on live earthworms and packaged baby shad (gross!)

Lucky for us, our host had the rods, but aren't these darling?

Terran even joined in (although as you can see, chose to walk down quite aways ... I like to think it was for a prime fish location as opposed to because he wanted to be nowhere near the rest of us!).

None of the kids caught anything, but it was sure a good way to spend a beautiful Saturday afternoon!

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.  ~ Doug Larson
